Dave's Hopper Fly Fine Art Print

The original drawing of this grasshopper inspired fly was drawn in colored pencil. The design of the print reminds me of the property cards in Monopoly. Which is fitting because I love the idea of these prints being "collector cards" you can frame and hang on you walls.

Dave's Hopper was created by Dave Whitlock to imitate grasshoppers with a low-floating profile. It is made with durable deer hair. It features a yellow body, mottled turkey wing, spun deer hair head, and knotted hackle legs that help give it buoyancy. It is great for catching trout, smallmouth bass, and panfish in late summer. It is very effective in areas near grassy, overhanging banks in North Carolina rivers and streams.
