Green Mop Fly

This green inchworm inspired fly was drawn in colored pencil, hand cut out, and attached with fishing line into a foam box I hand built. The background and walls of foam box are painted with green and yellow India Ink.

Jim Estes created the Mop Fly in Bryson City, NC. Although is is controversial, it is very effective not only in North Carolina but worldwide. It was designed to mimic caddis and green inchworm larvae. It is very effective in high-pressure conditions.
