This fly was drawn in colored pencil, hand cut out, and attached with fishing line into a foam box I hand built. The background and walls of foam box are painted with yellow and green India Ink.
High-visibility (Hi-Vis) flies are made typically with florescent orange, white, or chartreuse wings. This allows anglers to track the fly in fast water and poor light conditions. These flies are essential in NC mountain streams during productive firefly hatch seasons.
