This insect inspired fly was drawn in colored pencil, hand cut out, and attached with fishing line into a foam box I hand built. The background and walls of foam box are painted with red and yellow India Ink.
This fly is an effective year-round staple in any NC fly box. It provides both weight and flash to entice trout particularly in freestone streams. It was designed to mimic stoneflies, mayflies, and caddis larvae.
